On a Committee
These aren’t your stereotypical advisory committees. Comprised of people from all age groups, committees at Second Church are the way things get done! From setting church policy to organizing events, committees do it all. And the opportunities abound. Missions, Communications , Worship, Property, Congregational Life and more, it is 99% likely that you have a talent that could fit very well with our multitude of committees.

With Worship
This side of Heaven, music doesn’t get much more beautiful than at Second Presbyterian Church. But we’re always looking to improve and capitalize on the creativity of our congregation. If you have a passion for music, be it instrumental or vocal, please let us know. Worship wants you and your new ideas!

With Flowers
The flower guild which arranges the flowers for the Sanctuary each week needs mor emembers. Please call June Bergmann at 276-9644 to volunteer.

On the Phone
We are in need of people to serve as volunteer receptionists on Mondays-Fridays. We would like to be able to have 5 people who can give one day a week and 2 to serve as substitutes when the regular volunteers need to be out. Please call Nancy Bryant at 723-9237 to volunteer.

In the Choir
Two of our Bell Choir members have left the choir to serve in other areas in the church. The bell choir practices every Wednesday at 6pm in the Sanctuary. Please call Julia Harlow at 573-1847 to volunteer.

As a Sunday School Teacher
Wake up a little earlier and be a part of our amazing team of Sunday School teachers. From bible studies to parenting classes to arts and crafts, there’s something for everyone to teach. Or ask to teach your own dream class!

In Graphics or the Newsletter
Enjoy handling temperamental pieces of audio-visual equipment? Is updating a web page for you more exciting than taming a wild stallion? We’re ready to move into the 21st century of media communications, but it will take the heroes of gadgetry to do it. Are you up to the call? Be you an expert or a novice, we’ll find a place for you.

In the Office

If you have time to give back to God and your church, there is an opportunity for you to volunteer one or more days a week in the office from 9am-1pm. Please contact Nancy Bryant at 723-9237.
